The Supply Register is working in partnership with Newcastle College to recruit Psychology Lecturers to support across their academic provision. This is a great opportunity to gain experience within a well-established college, with the potential to secure longer-term or permanent roles.
Whether you’re an experienced Psychology Lecturer or a qualified teacher with A Level experience, we’d love to hear from you.
The Role
You’ll support learners across Psychology programmes, helping them develop subject knowledge, critical thinking, and exam confidence.

Deliver engaging lessons across A Level / Access to HE Psychology

Support learners with essays, coursework, and exam preparation

Teach key psychological theories, research methods, and topics

Monitor learner progress and provide clear, constructive feedback

Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
What We’re Looking For
We welcome candidates from a range of backgrounds:
Essential:
-
Experience teaching Psychology
-
Strong subject knowledge
-
Ability to support academic learners
-
Strong communication and organisational skills
-
A flexible and reliable approach
Desirable:
-
Teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, DET)

Experience within Further Education or Sixth Form
-
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
From schools or HE?
