Job Summary
The Supply Register is recruiting on behalf of Carlisle College for dedicated and supportive Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work within the college’s Further Education provision.
This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting learners to achieve their potential and who enjoy working in a dynamic, student-focused educational environment.
About the Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

Provide in-class and one-to-one support to learners with additional needs
-
Support students with SEND, EHCPs, SEMH, or learning difficulties
-
Assist learners with engagement, independence, and confidence in lessons
-
Work closely with teaching staff and support teams to implement support strategies
-
Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
-
Support learners across a range of subjects and vocational areas
Requirements
Essential:
-
Experience supporting learners in an education or care setting
-
A patient, supportive, and learner-focused approach
-
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Desirable:
-
Experience supporting learners with SEND or additional learning needs
-
A relevant qualification in Education, Health & Social Care, or SEND
-
Experience within a Further Education or post-16 setting
