The Supply Register is delighted to be working on behalf of a forward-thinking and inclusive school who are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join their team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who can inspire a love of English across Key Stages, delivering engaging and challenging lessons that support every pupil to achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, creative English lessons in line with the national curriculum.

  • Inspire and motivate students to develop confidence and enthusiasm in English language and literature.

  • Assess, track, and provide constructive feedback on pupil progress.

  • Contribute to curriculum development and the wider school community.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to raise standards and outcomes.

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.

  • A degree in English or a related subject.

  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage learners of all abilities.

  • A proven track record of teaching English at secondary level (experience across KS3 & KS4 essential, KS5 desirable).

  • Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.

  • A genuine passion for teaching and supporting young people’s development.
