Maths GCSE and Functional Skills Teacher

Contract: Full-time / Part-time (flexible)

The Supply Register is currently seeking expressions of interest from qualified and enthusiastic Maths teachers to support Further Education settings in Kidderminster. We partner with local colleges and training providers to help them find the right permanent and long-term teaching staff to deliver high-quality Maths education.
About the Role:
As a Maths GCSE and Functional Skills teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons in GCSE Maths and Functional Skills Maths, adapted to the needs of each learner
- Plan, prepare, and assess students’ work in line with awarding body requirements
- Provide clear and supportive feedback to help learners develop their skills and confidence
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote best practice and share innovative teaching strategies
- Contribute to the wider college community and ongoing professional development
Essential Requirements:
- Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent)
- Strong subject knowledge in Maths up to GCSE level
- Experience teaching GCSE Maths and/or Functional Skills Maths, ideally within a further education setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine commitment to supporting students from diverse backgrounds
Desirable:
- Experience working in further education or adult learning
- Ability to inspire and motivate learners with inclusive and innovative teaching approaches
