About the Role
Rainhill High School is seeking a dedicated, knowledgeable, and compassionate Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the lives of young people by leading and developing high-quality SEND provision across the school.
Working via The Supply Register, you will benefit from a supportive partnership that places people, development, and wellbeing at the heart of education staffing.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage SEND provision across the school in line with the SEND Code of Practice

Coordinate the identification, assessment, and support of pupils with SEND
-
Work closely with senior leaders, teaching staff, parents/carers, and external agencies

Maintain accurate SEND records and oversee EHCP processes
-
Support staff with strategies, interventions, and inclusive practice

Monitor and evaluate the impact of SEND interventions and provision
About You
We are looking for someone who:

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Has the National Award for SEN Coordination (or is willing to work towards it)

Has strong knowledge of SEND legislation and best practice
-
Is an excellent communicator with a collaborative approach

Is passionate about inclusion and improving outcomes for all learners
