Tyne Coast College is one of the North East's leading further education providers, delivering high-quality education and training across a broad range of vocational, technical and higher education programmes.
Working across multiple campuses and specialist training facilities, the College provides opportunities for learners of all ages to develop the skills, knowledge and experience needed to succeed in education, employment and their future careers.
Our curriculum is developed in collaboration with employers, industry partners and stakeholders to ensure it meets regional and national skills priorities while supporting economic growth across the North East.
Formed through the merger of South Tyneside College and Tyne Metropolitan College, the college works closely with employers, partners and stakeholders to develop a curriculum that responds to regional skills needs and supports economic growth.

Offering an extensive range of vocational and technical qualifications, Tyne Coast College provides Further Education, Apprenticeships, T Levels, Adult Learning, Higher Education, Foundation Learning and Distance Learning programmes across multiple specialist campuses. The college is also home to the internationally recognised South Shields Marine School, one of the world’s leading maritime training centres.
