The Supply Register is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Health & Social Care Lecturer to join Oldham Sixth Form College. This temporary role is to provide cover for staff absence, initially expected to last 1 month, though it may be extended or shortened depending on circumstances.
This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire motivated post-16 learners, preparing them for future study and careers in the health and social care sector.
About the Role
-
Deliver engaging lessons across BTEC Health & Social Care programmes.

Teach a combination of core Health & Social Care and related subject content, with a particular benefit if you can deliver elements of Psychology.

Provide students with insight into real-world practice, drawing on industry knowledge and experience.

Support learners to achieve their academic potential in a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
What We’re Looking For
-
A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, QTLS, or equivalent).

Experience teaching Health & Social Care at Level 3 or above is essential.

Strong HSC teachers with:

Some Psychology teaching experience and/or
-
Experience of working in the NHS, ideally with a nursing background.

Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

Commitment to inspiring, supporting, and challenging students to succeed.
