The Supply Register is delighted to be working with Newcastle College, a leading Further and Higher Education institution, to recruit a skilled and passionate Electrical Installation Tutor for their Darlington site.
Newcastle College offers over 100 courses and apprenticeships for school leavers, more than 70 Foundation and Honours Degrees for degree students, and over 300 part-time courses for adult learners. All courses are designed in collaboration with employers to ensure learners are gaining the knowledge and skills required by industry.
About the Role
We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Electrical Installation Tutor to deliver engaging, industry-focused teaching to learners preparing for careers in the electrical sector.
Your responsibilities will include:

Planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality lessons in electrical installation.

Developing and updating course content to meet industry standards.

Assessing learner progress, providing constructive feedback, and supporting student development.

Ensuring all teaching meets professional benchmarks and regulatory standards.
What We’re Looking For
-
Proficiency in Electrical Installation, Electrical Engineering, and Practical Installation skills.

Experience in lesson planning, course development, and classroom delivery.

Ability to assess student work and provide effective feedback.

Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

A relevant teaching qualification (Teaching Certificate, PGCE, or equivalent).

A valid DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
