I oversee The Supply Register’s Trusts in the North West of England, including our partnerships with the Wade Deacon Trust and the Heath Family Trust.
I’ve been in education well over 15 years, having started out as a teacher. I’ve worked with all age groups, from primary to further education. When I left teaching, I found a role with an education recruitment agency, which led to me joining The Supply Register in August 2019.
Even though we’re also a recruitment agency, The Supply Register is quite different. Schools have a cost-effective way to fill vacancies without reducing the candidate’s pay. Our margins are transparent; we’re committed to doing right by both the schools and the candidates we work with.
As Partnerships Manager, I support the schools in our Trusts with their staffing requirements for all kinds of different jobs, including teaching, support and admin roles. I liaise with them on a regular basis to make sure I fully understand and can meet their needs and provide them with candidates that are the right fit for those roles.
I work remotely most of the time, but whether you’re working from home or are out on the road visiting schools, you know everyone in the team is on hand to help. We’re growing quickly and it’s an exciting, fast-paced environment to be in.
The most rewarding part of the role is getting good feedback from both schools and candidates. When we get such positive feedback on a regular basis, we know we must be doing something well.
