My role at The Supply Register is varied but mainly involves building relationships – with Trusts, individual schools, partner agencies and candidates.
I manage two of our Trusts myself, the Staffordshire University Academies Trust, and The Transforming Futures Trust. I work hard to get to know the Trusts and the individual schools within them so I understand their needs, and can provide a staffing service that’s tailored to them.
I’m a qualified secondary English teacher and worked as a teacher for almost nine years, as well as an Assistant SENCO, before moving into education recruitment. I worked for an agency in Manchester as a Candidate Resourcer before joining The Supply Register in August 2019. After six months with The Supply Register, I was promoted to Partnership Executive. It’s a 360-recruitment role, which is really satisfying, as you get to manage the whole process.
The Supply Register is a company that cares – about its staff, and about its mission to make a positive difference to schools. The company values work-life balance and gives staff the autonomy to succeed. When working from home, you’re trusted to make decisions as to how you run the Trusts and desks you’ve been given, but the support is there when you need it. The best part of the role is knowing when you’ve got the right person for a school and they’re doing a great job.
