My role as Resourcing and Compliance Officer at The Supply Register involves supporting the Partnership Team in sourcing candidates and clearing them to work.
It’s a varied role which includes several tasks such as posting adverts, calling applicants, checking documents and helping with candidate registrations. It suits me as I love meeting new people and providing great customer care.
After finishing my master’s degree in International Relations, I went on to work at a college in the Estates and Facilities department. I loved being in the education environment, but I felt like I was on the wrong side of it. I wanted to find a role that was rewarding and helped people to find jobs in the education sector – which is what I’m now doing!
It’s a 360 process which is really rewarding. I help candidates from start to finish on their registration and I get to see them go into their jobs knowing I was a big part of that process.
The Supply Register has been so great to work for/with. Since day one, everyone has been super friendly and supportive. I’ve never worked somewhere where everyone makes you feel so welcome. Even though we have people in separate regions and working remotely, we all feel part of the same team.
Through working with The Supply Register I’ve been able to develop my knowledge and confidence in a brand-new sector. When I first arrived, I had minimal knowledge of the education sector but with the support from everyone – especially the East Midlands Team – I’ve really grown in my role.
