Our vision is that…
…through outstanding leadership, we will provide the highest quality education to enable every pupil to realise their full potential.
Of course, every good school aspires to this aim, so what makes us different?
We passionately believe in the power of partnership working as a catalyst for ensuring more children receive an exceptional education. Our member schools know the transformational impact it can have from experience.
At the same time, we recognise the importance of autonomy. Every school has its own context and challenges. This is why we encourage our member schools to lead and manage in a way that preserves their individual identity and responds to the specific needs of their children and community.
The acronym L.E.A.D. embodies the four core principles at the heart of the Trust: strong Leadership at every level; Empowering every child to aim high; giving every child the opportunity to Achieve and constantly Driving for improvement.
Our innovative model is attracting widespread attention from schools nationally that share our vision and values.
Diana Owen CBE
The creation of the L.E.A.D. Academy Trust was a natural progression of our belief in a partnership ethos and our determination to ensure that more young people receive an exceptional education.
We passionately believe in the power of partnership working as a catalyst for better educational outcomes for children and systemic change. A strong focus on leadership permeates our model. Everyone can benefit from the development of leadership skills.
Our focus on leadership also extends to succession planning, talent management and enhanced career options for leaders across our schools. Growing our own leaders and deploying them across the Trust as opportunities arise embeds our values, facilitates the sharing of best practice and promote sustainability.
Where our staff bank is unable to meet all of our cover requirements, we work with a preferred supplier list (PSL) of agencies to meet our day-to-day, short and long term cover needs.

L.E.A.D. Equate Teaching School Alliance is a partnership of schools working to inspire, motivate and empower every child and professional to embrace lifelong learning.
Our Vision is for all members to contribute to and benefit from exceptional levels of continuous professional development, high impact peer support and evidence-informed practice.
The educational workforce within L.E.A.D. Equate Teaching School Alliance will benefit from exceptional levels of professional development, peer support and leading-edge practice so that every child within the Alliance receives the best possible education. Our aims are to promote strong leadership at every level; to empower every child to aim high; to give every child the opportunity to achieve, and to constantly drive for improvement. We believe that sustainable, system-wide improvements can only be achieved by building strong partnerships that can operate in a culture of trust, openness and integrity. We believe that everyone has something to offer and something to learn and it is through working together that practice can be shared, a culture of mutual support can be established, and new ideas can be formed.
The group has been designated by the Teaching Regulation Agency (TRA) formally the National College for Teaching and Leadership (NCTL) as one of around 640 national Teaching School Alliances, whose remit is to support schools and their staff through the provision of ITT, staff development and talent management, engagement in research and school support packages.
