Working pattern: Full-time
Salary: £32,157 – £50,935 (depending on experience)
The Supply Register is the newly appointed managed service provider for Ark Schools and their 39 Academies in Birmingham, Hastings, London and Portsmouth, supporting the Trust with all their supply and temporary staffing requirements. As part of this service, we are currently recruiting for a Computer Science Teacher to work at Ark Bolingbroke Academy in Battersea.
Qualification Criteria
- Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS or QTLS)
- Open to ECT
- Qualified to at least degree level
- At least two B grades in the sciences (or one and Maths) at A Level
- Qualified to teach and work in the UK
- Ability to teach one science to A Level and two to GCSE standard
- Enhanced DBS and on update service (or willing to apply for one)
- Two references covering the past 24 months
Responsibilities:
- Understanding curriculum requirements and creating lesson plans, and educational content that satisfy these requirements.
- Analyzing the needs, strengths, and weaknesses of students and structuring lessons and assessments around them.
- Providing extra support to students who require it, and more challenging tasks to those who are ahead of the class.
- Keeping the lines of communication open between students, staff, and parents.
- Provide leadership that secures the delivery of high standards and attainment for all students, and be responsible for the organization, management, and control of your classes.
- Examine, analyze, and intervene to ensure that all students are on track to meet their goals
- An enthusiastic science teacher with the ability to teach across all Key Stages
- Passionate about Science and has excellent subject knowledge
- An excellent classroom practitioner with a drive for development
- Keen to challenge and enthuse the student population
