The Supply Register are delighted to be working on an exclusive basis with The Two Counties Trust for all of their recruitment needs. We are currently recruiting for a Business Finance Partner to work from the Two Counties Central Team office,

This is an excellent opportunity with the potential to go temp to perm for the right candidate.

All applicants must hold or working towards a Accounting Qualification.

As a Finance Business Partner your core purpose will be to:

  • Be responsible for the provision of financial information, tools, analysis, challenge and insight, enabling Headteachers to make informed decisions.
  • With the support and challenge of this post holder, Headteachers will be better informed and confident to take steps to maximise their income and make best use of expenditure in order to drive their organisational strategy and make financial decisions in the best interests of their students.
  • This role is responsible for the effective and efficient liaison between transactional finance and the school, garnering insight into the nuances of each school within the cluster and sharing with colleagues to better inform budgeting, forecasting and reporting outputs.

Key responsibilities:

  • To partner with a cohort of Headteachers, providing insight and understanding to ensure their schools and the Trust meet the established financial objectives.
  • To provide insight, and challenge the performance of schools, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • To improve the visibility of financial, commercial and operational performance during each financial period.
  • To establish a common meeting structure with senior colleagues in schools to ensure that performance and variance against budget is understood.
  • To support schools and the Trust through any financial systems changes and upgrades.
  • To interact with non-financial colleagues, interpreting complicated information and analysis articulately.
  • To build and manage relationships effectively and network productively to increase the performance of the finance function across the Trust.
  • To complete regular reporting of financial performance, KPIs and associated commentary, supporting the Finance Manager to deliver timely, accurate and meaningful management accounts.
