Long-Term Secondary Teaching Opportunities – January 2026 Start

Location: Burton-upon-Trent and surrounding areas, West Midlands
Start Date: January 2026
Contract Type: Long-term placements

We are currently seeking qualified and enthusiastic secondary teachers for a range of long-term positions commencing in January 2026 across Burton-upon-Trent and nearby West Midlands schools.

Opportunities are available in a variety of subject areas, including English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities, Languages, ICT, and other core and foundation subjects. These roles are ideal for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to further develop their classroom practice within supportive school environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the national curriculum

  • Plan, prepare, and assess learning to ensure high standards of progress

  • Contribute to the wider school community and uphold school policies and values

  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification

  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

  • Strong subject knowledge and commitment to high-quality teaching and learning
